Desert
Discovery
The Desert Discovery
provides a three-day condensed trekking format. It provides all the same experiences as a
full ADE trek, like sleeping in swags under the stars, superb meals from the camp ovens,
with a healthy but moderately active trekking day. Our ecologist team will be conducting
mammal and reptile trapping programs, collecting botanical specimens and recording bird
species. Desert Discovery gives trekkers an opportunity to see how our surveys work and
the chance to help the ecologists with fieldwork and research. We will have our full team
of pack camels with us but only some will be loaded with equipment for this shortened
itinerary.
